No Starch Press releases the book world-wide

Document Actions

No Starch Press has announced the release of The Debian System world-wide on 15 September 2005. The book published by No Starch Press is mostly identical to the original published in June 2005 by Open Source Press, but has the errata which had accumulated by the end of July folded in.

Please excuse the late release of this announcement; by the time of the release of the No Starch edition, I was on the track of kudus, leopards, elephants, and rhinos in Tanzania's Serengeti National Park.

Kristin Shoemaker, linuxlibrarian.org: The Debian System is not just a manual. It's a philosophy tome. It's a bible. It's a love letter. And whereas this should not be one's first Linux book, it should be on every Linux enthusiast's reading list, whether one is a Debian user or not.
